I'd been waiting in the general pool for almost a year, not realizing my upcoming fortieth birthday would actually cost me points if I kept waiting passively. Emig pointed me toward a state nomination specifically for teachers instead, much faster than waiting it out. Visa granted in May, just weeks before my birthday. Really grateful to Emig for getting me moving before that deadline caught up with me.
