You can also prepare a visa or immigration application in your Emig portal and download it for free.
Emig is a product of Utter Vision Charity, a registered Canadian charity. It was created by Sahand Vafaei, founder, CEO and managing partner of Utter Vision Charity, who is also an immigrant. Emig is built for people who can't access immigration lawyers or consultants. It gives you publicly available information, checked against official government sources. "My own visa was refused twice before I made it to Canada. Emig is the guide I wish I'd had: clear, honest and free for everyone." — Sahand Vafaei
No. Emig works with lawyers and licensed immigration consultants, but it doesn't provide, or charge for, legal advice or immigration consulting. If you'd like a professional to check your application before you submit it, you can request a review by a lawyer or licensed consultant for a flat fee of $50, a fraction of what they usually charge. This applies to applications you've prepared in Emig.
No. You can ask general questions without signing in. Personal, country-specific advice needs a free account so we can save your answers.
Emig has guides for 16 countries, including Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and Germany. Some services aren't available in every country, and what you can use depends on where you're from. Ask the Emig chat, and it will tell you which services are available to you.
Any of 36 languages: just write in yours and Emig replies in it. Immigration terms don't always translate perfectly, so if an answer isn't clear, ask Emig to explain it again and it will rephrase in your language.
Emig keeps track of official government websites for skilled-worker, Express Entry and other immigration programs in every country we cover. Programs open and close often, and many are only open to certain groups. The Discover page shows which programs are open right now and who can apply, so you can see what's available from your country.
